2015 OKA Championship

27 of Oklahoma's top kayak anglers from numerous events took to the waters of Okemah Lake to determine who would be the Oklahoma Kayak Angler's 2015 Champion. Fog rolled off as 48 degree air temps met water temps in the mid 70's. After a quick captains meeting everyone was ready for a 7:00 am first cast.

A majority of the day’s action was had before 8:30 and catches ground to a halt until after 11. After 11 a few anglers reported a second bite until it was time to head back in for the 1 o’clock weigh-in.

Rusty Helms and Josh Shelton took care of judging fish, while Brent tallied up the scores. In the end one angler had a great early morning performance that proved to be the difference needed to take home the title.
