HOW do I JOIN THIS CLUB?

  1. In order to legally fish an event IN THE CLUB you must sign the latest Oklahoma kayak anglers liability waiver.   BY SIGNING THE WAIVER YOU ARE AGREEING TO THE RULES SET FORTH BY THE CLUB.

  2. DOWNLOAD THE LATEST TOURNEYX PRO APP ON YOUR SMART DEVICE AND WATCH THE TUTORIALS ON HOW TO USE THE APP AND MAKE AN ACCOUNT.

  3. READ THE RULES, READ THE RULES AND READ THE RULES. WE HAVE RULES SET IN PLACE TO AVOID AREAS OF CONFUSION AND WE NEED STANDARDS SO THAT WE CAN RUN THE CLUB AND EVENTS IN AN ORDERLY MANNER.  BY SIGNING THE WAIVER YOU ARE AGREEING TO THE RULES SET FORTH BY THE CLUB. WHERE DO THE RULES COME FROM? THE SAME PLACE WARNING LABELS COME FROM, SITUATIONS THAT ARISE THAT NEED TO BE ADDRESSED AND ALTHOUGH WE HAVE A LOT OF THEM COVERED MUCH LIKE WARNING LABELS THEIRS ALWAYS SOMETHING NEW ARISING AND WE WILL ADDRESS THOSE ACCORDINGLY.

What do I need to fish an event?

In order to legally fish an event you must sign the latest Oklahoma kayak anglers liability waiver, have an Oklahoma Fishing License, a coast guard approved personal flotation device (PFD), an approved measuring device, a kayak, a white light visible from 360 degrees, a signaling device (whistle).

Can two anglers fish in one yak during the tournaments?

 

No.  Only one angler per kayak is allowed.



 

Why isn't their a tournament on my favorite lake?

Liability Release/Waiver Form & Rules

 

 

 

 

Oklahoma Kayak Anglers has adopted and modifieD a set of rules more in line with HoBIE BOS with some select rules modified for OKA association purposes.

The following are as listed:

  • The use of electric trolling motors during OKA trail Event, online events and fundraiser is permitted for the 2023 season.

  • All fish submitted for judging must be caught from within your kayak.

  • During official tournament days, contestants may not solicit information about locating or catching fish on tournament waters from anyone. Quasi-public websites, blogs and/or social media pages set up for the specific purpose of sharing information with individuals or a small group of individuals are NOT publicly available sources

  • Any collaboration on or off the water with other competitors or non- competitors for the purpose of sharing or pooling winnings is strictly prohibited.

  • Ketch Products are the ONLY measuring devices Oklahoma Kayak Anglers allow for use during OKA events

  • disputes must be brought to the tournament directors or board members ATTENTION EITHER PHYSICALLY OR DIGITALLY within 24 hours from tournament results. ALL DISPUTES WILL BE ANSWERED ACCORDINGLY.  

 

 

Oklahoma Kayak Anglers has the right to refuse any angler from participating in our events. OKA is a equal opportunity association and does not  discriminate one from joining nor does OKA support any means of discrimination.
