2nd Annual OK vs AR

On this beautiful september day we had 33 kayak anglers come out to represent their state, 27 from Oklahoma and 6 from Arkansas. As the clock struck 630, the Arkansas anglers knew they were in for an uphill battle. They raised their heads, tusks glaring in the predawn light, and in unison and bellowed " Woooooooooo, Pig ! Sooooooie!". The likes of which had never, and may never again be heard this far west of Fayetteville.

Numbers weren't on there side, and the entourage of Cowboys and Sooners (united for a few short hours) clinched a decisive victory shortly after 2 o'clock. The top 4 anglers scores were added to the average of anglers who scored a fish for their state.

Oklahoma : 330

Arkansas: 201

Thank you to everyone who came out and fished!

No shockers on the podium for this event.

Matt Penwright and Gary Kasper had a pretty decisive lead over the field.

Matt brought home 1st place with 75.75 inches

Gary Kasper took home 2nd with 75 ( You guys will remember how Gary kept Oklahoma from getting shutout last year by winning last years Oklahoma vs Arkansas)

Nathan Henthorn secured 3rd with 68.5
